Text-Scan: Fotos, aus denen du Text lesen lässt, schicken unsere Server zur Texterkennung an Google Cloud Vision. Das Foto selbst speichern wir nicht; in deinem Scan-Verlauf liegen eine kleine Vorschau und der erkannte Text. Vertragserfüllung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
Sprech-Modus: Während eines Gesprächs geht der Ton deines Mikrofons direkt von deinem Gerät an die Gemini Live API von Google, nicht über unsere Server. Google verarbeitet ihn auch außerhalb der EU und speichert Eingaben laut seinen Nutzungsbedingungen für begrenzte Zeit, um Missbrauch zu erkennen. Wir speichern keinen Ton. Den Text des Gesprächs mit Übersetzungen und Korrekturen speichern wir auf deinem Gerät und in deinem Konto, dazu Zeitpunkt, Dauer und verbrauchte Energie. Vertragserfüllung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
Vorlesen mit Premium-Stimme: Den Text schicken unsere Server an Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. Die fertige Sprachdatei speichern wir ohne Bezug zu dir. Vertragserfüllung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
Zu Anfragen an die KI, die Texterkennung und die Sprachausgabe speichern wir einen kurzen Ausschnitt der Eingabe mit deiner Nutzerkennung, um Kosten und Fehler auszuwerten. Er wird mit deinem Konto gelöscht.
Aussprache: Wo die App gesprochene Wörter erkennt, übernimmt das die Spracherkennung deines Betriebssystems, auf iPhone und iPad die von Apple, auf Android die von Google. Dabei kann der Ton an deren Server gehen.
Wortvorschläge beim Tippen: Die ersten Buchstaben eines arabischen Wortes gehen ohne Anmeldung an unseren eigenen Dienst bei Google Cloud in Belgien.
Käufe: Abos und Energie-Pakete kaufst du bei Apple oder Google. Um einen Kauf zu prüfen, fragen unsere Server dort nach und speichern Produkt, Kauf- und Ablaufdatum und Status mit deiner Nutzerkennung. Vertragserfüllung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
Mitteilungen: Erlaubst du Mitteilungen, speichern wir das Push-Token von Firebase Cloud Messaging in deinem Konto. Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO), die du in den Einstellungen deines Geräts zurücknehmen kannst.
Feedback: Schickst du uns Feedback aus der App, speichern wir Titel, Text, deinen Nutzernamen, Bildschirmfotos, die du anhängst, und technische Angaben (Gerät, Betriebssystem, Sprache, Nutzerkennung, die letzten Protokollzeilen der App). Berechtigtes Interesse an der Bearbeitung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
Hosting: Diese Website wird über Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) bereitgestellt. Beim Besuch werden IP-Adresse, Browsertyp und Zugriffszeit in Server-Logfiles erfasst. Rechtsgrundlage: Berechtigtes Interesse (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Siehe Cloudflare Datenschutz.
Cloudflare Web Analytics: Wir zählen mit Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), welche Seiten aufgerufen werden. Erfasst werden der Aufruf selbst, die aufgerufene Adresse, die verweisende Seite, das Land, der Gerätetyp, der Browser und das Betriebssystem. Es werden keine Cookies gesetzt, nichts auf deinem Gerät gespeichert und nichts von dort ausgelesen; einzelne Besucher werden nicht wiedererkannt. Eine Einwilligung nach § 25 TDDDG ist deshalb nicht erforderlich. Rechtsgrundlage: Berechtigtes Interesse (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Siehe Cloudflare Datenschutz.
Google Analytics: Wir nutzen Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) zur anonymen Analyse der Website-Nutzung. Dies erfolgt nur mit deiner Einwilligung (Hinweis zum Datenschutz). Google Analytics verwendet Cookies, um Seitenaufrufe, Verweildauer und Herkunft der Besucher zu erfassen; dabei werden Daten an Google übertragen, auch in die USA. IP-Adressen werden anonymisiert. Rechtsgrundlage: Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO). Du kannst deine Einwilligung jederzeit über Cookie-Einstellungen unten auf der Startseite widerrufen; der Widerruf wirkt sofort und lässt die Rechtmäßigkeit der bisherigen Verarbeitung unberührt (Art. 7 Abs. 3 DSGVO). Lokale Speicherung: Wir nutzen localStorage im Browser, um deine Spracheinstellung (Deutsch/Englisch) und deine Cookie-Einwilligung zu speichern. Dies ist technisch notwendig und enthält keine personenbezogenen Daten.

Kontolöschung (Art. 17 DSGVO): Du kannst dein Muhit-Konto und alle damit verbundenen Daten direkt in der App löschen unter Profilbild oben links → Profil → „Konto löschen. Bei Bestätigung werden binnen 30 Tagen Account-Daten, Lernfortschritt, Vokabel-Sammlungen, Crash-Logs sowie cloud-seitige Kauf-Records entfernt. Die serverseitige Löschung erfolgt durch eine Cloud Function und wird in einem internen Audit-Log dokumentiert. Apple Sign-In: Eine App-seitige Konto-Löschung beendet deine Firebase-Sitzung. Apple hält jedoch eigene Token-Records. Auf appleid.apple.com → "Apps mit deiner Apple-ID nutzen" kannst du Muhit zusätzlich revoken.
Geteilte Inhalte: Vokabel-Stapel die du öffentlich geteilt hast, bleiben in den Sammlungen anderer User die sie kopiert haben. Der Stapel-Eintrag selbst wird gelöscht.

Google, Cloudflare und OpenRouter verarbeiten Daten auch in den USA. Google und Cloudflare sind nach dem EU-US Data Privacy Framework zertifiziert; für sie gilt der Angemessenheitsbeschluss der EU-Kommission (Art. 45 DSGVO). OpenRouter ist nicht zertifiziert; Grundlage sind die Standardvertragsklauseln der EU-Kommission (Art. 46 Abs. 2 lit. c DSGVO), die Teil des Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrags von OpenRouter sind. Käufe wickeln Apple und Google als eigene Verantwortliche ab, ebenso die Anmeldung mit ihren Konten.

Input for the AI features (words, sentences and texts you type, tap or scan): Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Our servers in the EU send them to OpenRouter, which passes them to a language model, currently Google's Gemini. We exclude providers that use inputs for training.
Text scan: Photos you want text read from are sent by our servers to Google Cloud Vision for text recognition. We do not store the photo itself; your scan history keeps a small preview and the recognized text. Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Speaking mode: During a conversation, the sound from your microphone goes directly from your device to Google's Gemini Live API, not through our servers. Google also processes it outside the EU and, according to its terms, keeps inputs for a limited time to detect abuse. We store no audio. We store the text of the conversation with translations and corrections on your device and in your account, together with time, duration and the energy used. Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Premium voice: Our servers send the text to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. We store the finished audio file without any reference to you. Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
For requests to the AI, text recognition and speech output we store a short excerpt of the input with your user ID, to track costs and errors. It is deleted with your account.
Pronunciation: Where the app recognizes spoken words, your operating system's speech recognition does this: Apple's on iPhone and iPad, Google's on Android. The audio may go to their servers for this.
Word suggestions while typing: The first letters of an Arabic word go, without sign-in, to our own service on Google Cloud in Belgium.
Purchases: You buy subscriptions and energy packs from Apple or Google. To verify a purchase, our servers check with them and store the product, purchase and expiry date and status with your user ID. Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Notifications: If you allow notifications, we store the Firebase Cloud Messaging push token in your account. Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw in your device settings.
Feedback: If you send us feedback from the app, we store the title, text, your username, screenshots you attach and technical details (device, operating system, language, user ID, the app's latest log lines). Legitimate interest in handling it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Hosting: This website is hosted via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). When you visit, your IP address, browser type and access time are recorded in server log files. Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Cloudflare Privacy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) to count which pages get opened. It records the page view itself, the address opened, the referring page, the country, the device type, the browser and the operating system. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it; individual visitors are not recognised. No consent under Section 25 TDDDG is therefore required. Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Cloudflare Privacy.
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) for anonymous analysis of website usage. This only occurs with your consent (privacy notice). Google Analytics uses cookies to track page views, session duration, and visitor sources; this sends data to Google, including to the USA. IP addresses are anonymized. Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of the start page; withdrawal takes effect immediately and does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Local storage: We use localStorage in your browser to save your language preference (German/English) and your cookie consent. This is technically necessary and contains no personal data.

Account Deletion (Art. 17 GDPR): You can delete your Muhit account and all associated data directly in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account. Upon confirmation, account data, learning progress, vocabulary collections, crash logs and cloud-side purchase records are removed within 30 days. The server-side deletion is handled by a Cloud Function and recorded in an internal audit log. Apple Sign-In: An in-app account deletion ends your Firebase session, but Apple keeps its own token records. On appleid.apple.com → "Apps using your Apple ID" you can additionally revoke Muhit.
Shared content: Vocabulary stacks you have shared publicly remain in the collections of other users who copied them. The stack entry itself is deleted.
Supervisory authority: LDI NRW, www.ldi.nrw.de
Google, Cloudflare and OpenRouter also process data in the USA. Google and Cloudflare are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission's adequacy decision applies to them (Art. 45 GDPR). OpenRouter is not certified; the basis is the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR), which are part of OpenRouter's data processing agreement. Apple and Google handle purchases, and sign-in with their accounts, as independent controllers.

Muhit ist eine Arabisch-Lern-App mit kostenlosen Funktionen und einem optionalen Abonnement (Muhit Premium). Daneben können einzelne Verbrauchsgüter (Energy-Pakete) erworben werden.
Der Vertrag kommt durch Kauf im App Store/Google Play zustande. Die Zahlung erfolgt über den jeweiligen Store.
Abonnements verlängern sich automatisch, wenn nicht 24h vor Ablauf gekündigt.
Du hast 14 Tage Widerrufsrecht ab Vertragsschluss. Widerruf per E-Mail an support@getmuhit.com oder über den App Store.
Bei sofortiger Nutzung digitaler Inhalte mit deiner Zustimmung erlischt das Widerrufsrecht.

These terms apply to the use of the Muhit app and the website getmuhit.com.
Muhit is an Arabic learning app with free features and an optional subscription (Muhit Premium). In addition, individual consumables (energy packs) can be purchased.
The contract is formed upon purchase in the App Store/Google Play. Payment is processed through the respective store.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24h before expiration.
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of contract. Withdraw via email to support@getmuhit.com or through the App Store.
For immediate use of digital content with your consent, the right of withdrawal expires.
iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

Delete account: In app settings
Full liability for intent, gross negligence, and personal injury. For slight negligence, only for essential contractual obligations (limited to foreseeable damages).
German law applies. For consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence also apply.
